Previously, we introduced you to methinks newest product App Insights SDK Beta. Today, we are happy to announce the official release of this amazing tool that enables you to review and analyze user journeys and create in-app event-triggered surveys and various prompts.How It Works
With the App Insights SDK and web dashboard, you can track user journeys, create custom event-triggered surveys, and (if needed) intercept users in real-time. Start tracking in minutes! Step 1: Ask your developer to install the SDK in your app (implementation takes less than 10 minutes). Step 2: View, track and analyze the user journey directly in your App Insights dashboard, create and launch in-app surveys and view and download survey responses as soon as users answer them.
It’s that easy.

Release Highlights
User Journey
With App Insights User Journey tracker you can set it and forget it. As soon as the App Insights SDK is implemented in your app, it will automatically start collecting users’ journeys which can be viewed in detail on the dashboard. To go even more in-depth, you can select a device/user to review details such as device type and ID number, screen flow, session count, and total session time. You will also find details about the user’s most visited and the longest visited views.
In-App Surveys
While the Journey Tracker provides great quantitative insights about your app users and their user journey flow, in-app surveys can provide you with qualitative, in-depth, actionable insights. By using the in-app survey builder you can choose from 8 different question types (intro, multiple-choice, checkboxes, long paragraph, scale opinion, scale smiley, scale likert, and outro) and further customize your surveys by adding different sections and logics.
